Reports laid before parliament
Under the Domestic Abuse Act, the Domestic Abuse Commissioner has the power to publish reports and lay them before Parliament.
These reports help to hold local commissioners, statutory agencies and national Government to account and make recommendations on how they can improve their response.
The government must respond to these reports within 56 days.
