Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse – AAFDA – ran a highly successful #16daysofactivism campaign to raise awareness of fatal domestic abuse, conducting 16 days of virtual talks to raise the status of women who have lost their lives to domestic abuse, and create an environment for learning and sharing. Each day they were joined by guest speakers from the DA sector and by families bereaved by fatal domestic abuse in all its forms. The Commissioner closed the final day of activism, speaking on her role as Commissioner and her experience of Domestic Homicide Reviews. She applauded the bravery and resilience of families bereaved by domestic abuse, and congratulated AAFDA for their tireless work, and on their creation of safe sharing spaces during the 16 days.
