Nicole Jacobs, Domestic Abuse Commissioner, says: “Perpetrators of domestic homicide should not be allowed to dictate from the prison cell decisions about the children whose parent they have killed. I strongly welcome the principles of Jade’s Law.
“Today’s announcement is down to the tireless campaigning of the family of Jade Ward, who have fought to protect Jade’s children, and so many other children in her memory. I thank the government for listening to their calls.
“Following the publication of the Wade Review into Domestic Homicide Sentencing, I now look forward to working closely with the government on their next steps to ensure justice for victims of domestic homicide and their children.”
